In Spite Of It All, The US Is Still The Best Place To Live

Ever since the bombing in London yesterday, I've heard an interesting thread of reports related to immigration in Europe.

As it ends up, Europeans are literally being chased out of their countries. The flow of immigrants is so large, and the level of assimilation into the culture is so low, the European natives simply don't know what to do. Their governments certainly aren't helping.

My Dutch relatives complain more and more about the middle easterners that are literally taking over their country. It's easy to get in and stay, simply claim refugee status. Or just don't say anything. Either way, an immigrant gets onto the social welfare roles, a pretty cushy situation compared to their homelands in the Middle East.

I have an aunt who's been on the Dutch welfare roles her whole life - she has a nice apartment, a car, spending money, dresses nicely, an active social life, and always has plenty of cigarettes. She spends 2-4 hours each morning with her friends at the local coffee shop, and does her own thing in the afternoon.

Just this morning I heard numerous Brits calling in on the radio complaining that the US doesn't let them in fast enough. Their own country is being overrun by middle easterners, to the point where the native Brits are worried for their safety. Britain also has a generous social welfare system.

Yes, we have an immigrant problem in the US, and it pisses me off, but we also are a little more realistic, no much, but a little, than Europe.
